No Military Action Against Pakistan: A K Antony

NEW DELHI: Indian Defence Minister A K Antony said India was not planning military action against Pakistan following the situation arising out of Mumbai incident.

Talking to mediapersons in the sidelines of a function ‘Vijay Diwas’ held in connection with the 37th anniversary of Pak-India war in 1971, he said for the improvement of bilateral relations, Pakistan has to take action against terrorists.

“We are not planning any military action. But at the same time unless Pakistan takes actions against those terrorists who are allegedly operating from their soil, things will not be normal,” he said.

When asked on the issue of troops deployment along the border with Pakistan, he said everything was normal because Indian forces always stand ready.

When asked about reports on India’s move to call off ceasefire on the Line of Control, he denied any move in this regard.

When asked about India’s future course of action, Antony refused to give any detail.
