Nawaz Sharif Demands Resignation Of Chief Justice Doggar

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif Wednesday urged Supreme Court Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Doggar to quit his office immediately.

Addressing a press conference after a party meeting here the former prime minister called the government to avoid backing the chief justice on Farah Doggar issue.

Nawaz Sharif said his party parliamentarians Chaudhry Nisar and Senator Ishaq Dar would raise the issue in both houses of the parliament.

“The government is failed to respect the Feb. 18 people’s mandate,” Nawaz Sharif said.

The former prime minister claimed that he has been contacted and offered that the electoral eligibility cases can be decided in his favour if he turns away from the opposition of Justice Doggar.
