According to reports, the two-member team of Mumbai ATS led by Inspector Bilasrao Wankhede will file an application in the Lucjnow Sessions Court asking for permission for Sabahuddin’s on transit remand.
The officers will also meet the state Special Task Force team, which had arrested Fahim and Sabahuddin.
The ATS is said to have collected interrogation reports of the accused and copies of documents found in their possession. They included hand-drawn maps of different Mumbai areas.
Sabahuddin was arrested from the Charbagh Railway Station on the basis of Fahim’s interrogation on February 9 last.
He was supposedly leaving for Mumbai along with two of his associates when they were rounded up. Since investigations failed to find Sabahuddin’s involvement in the Rampur attack, he was arrested on charges of possessing arms and ammunition which was recovered from him at the time of his arrest.
Among two others arrested along with him, one was an Indian while the other was a Pakistani national.
