Ramallah: An undercover Israeli army unit dressed in civilian clothes shot and killed a 20-year-old Palestinian man early Tuesday in a village near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, Palestinian medical sources said. The unit ambushed Jihad Nawahda, member of the Islamic Jihad’s military wing, Saraya al-Quds, as he was coming out of an internet cafe in the village of Yamoun, and killed him instantly, the sources said.
Israeli soldiers, waiting outside the village to secure the withdrawal of the uncover unit, then raided the village and interrogated several more Palestinians at the internet cafe before leaving the village. (dpa)
