Bomb Note In Toilet Grounds Plane In Karachi: Air Authority

KARACHI :A bomb scare forced a plane to make an unscheduled landing at Karachi airport in Pakistan on Wednesday after a passenger said he had found a threatening note in the toilet, officials said.

"According to the information we have received, a passenger went into the toilet and found a note and started shouting that there was a bomb on board," a Pakistan civil aviation official told AFP.

The Etihad Airlines flight was carrying 190 passengers and seven crew from Dubai to Islamabad when it was diverted.

Passengers were searched as they were taken off the plane, which was then searched by a bomb disposal team, but no explosives were found.

The plane was expected to resume its journey to Islamabad shortly.
