KARACHI: At least one prisoner was killed and six others injured in Malir District Jail here on Wednesday.
According t reports, there are at least 2400 prisoners in the District Jail Malir.
Meanwhile, Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister on Jails Gul Mohammed Jakhrani said that the present government has taken up several steps for the improvement of jail conditions and provided various facilities to the prisoners.
He continued that it is owing to certain groups of prisoners that the likes of recent incidents are occurring in jails in Karachi.
The clashes at the jail are still in progress.
