ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Thursday, while holding talks to MNAs and Ministers on the occasion of People Party Parliamentary meeting at PM house here, said that all the major national decisions would be sought with all political parties’ consensus.
the Prime Minister said, that it is policy of the PPP led government that all matters of national importance be resolved through political consultation and consensus.
He said that the consultation process proved very much fruitful in resolving many issues.
He said that it is for the first time in the history of Pakistan that different political parties have formed governments at provincial and federal level which is possible due to
political engagement by the PPP with all the political forces.
Prime Minister also said that in teh consultation process JUI and MQM would be taken on board while PMLN would also be taken in confidence.
PM said that Pakistan was a responsible nuke country that has no nefarious design against any country however he justified country’s defensive strategy saying, “Pakistan will keep improving its nuke tendency in view of state’s defense and for sustainable peace in the region”.
He added that PPP had laid down many sacrifices for attaining true democracy in Pakistan and would keep parliamentary process alive in future in the best interest of democracy.
PM urged world nations to stand united with Pakistan during the ongoing troubled hours of economic crisis and war on terrorism.
