KARACHI: Awami National Party (ANP) has threatened of parting its ways with Sindh government in protest of what it terms discrimination of Pakhtuns in Karachi, reported A Pakistan News.
ANP Sindh chief Shahi Sayed while addressing a press conference here Saturday called on to halt what he said the discrimination of Pakhtuns ethnic minority in the provincial capital, threatening withdrawal of his party from provincial government.
Categorically denying the claims of one of the provincial ruling coalition’s parties about the alleged Talibanization in Karachi, Sayed rejected the proposed registration of Pakhtuns coming to the city from violence-torn north western tribal belt.
He said he has summoned a general meeting of Pakhtun Action Committee on Noember 30 in which future strategy would be chalked out.
