Three Held For offering Bribe To voters
Jammu: Three people including a government employee were arrested by the police as they were reportedly offering bribe to the voters to cast their votes in favour of an Independent candidate contesting from Kalakote constituency in Jammu’s Rajouri district during the second phase of assembly elections.
A wire agency UNI quoting sources said, ”Three persons were apprehended for alluring and offering bribe to the voters and asking them to cast their votes in favour of Independent candidate, contesting from Kalakote constituency,”
The arrested persons were identified as Naresh Kumar, Jasbir Singh and Raju Singh (an employee in Doda hospital), all residents of Jammu, while police also recovered Rs 3 lakh from their possession, the sources added.
