Pakistan, India To Come Face-to-Face in Paris Tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Indian Deputy Foreign Minister Anand Sharma will meet tomorrow (Sunday) in Paris, the highest level face-to-face between the two countries for the first time since deadly Mumbai terrorist attacks.

The two ministers will meet in Paris on Sunday for the ‘Informal Minister’s Meeting with Afghanistan’, hosted by the foreign minister of France and aimed at pursuing its neighboring countries to extends their support for shaky Afghan government.

Apart from France, representatives from the Central Asian Republics, Iran and Pakistan (the bordering countries of war-torn Afghanistan), will attend the meeting besides U.S. and other major world powers.

The meeting will discuss ways to expand regional cooperation and to enhance security and economic ties among participating countries and Afghanistan.
