Hotel Taj Mahal Tower to Reopen on Dec 21 After Terror Attacks

New Delhi: Mumbai’s heritage Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel will be reopening its rooms in the Taj Mahal Tower for the first time on December 21 ever since the ill-fated November 26 terror attacks in Mumbai where183 people lost their lives and nearly 300 were injured.

Hotel Taj was one of the key terrorist strike points along with Leopald Café, CST, Nariman House, Cama Hospital and Hotel Trident during the Mumbai terror attacks.

In this gruesome terror attacks, the majestic hotel Taj became a battle field where LeT terrorists carried out orchestrated attacks while killing people and taking hostages.

The hotel will be reopening at 7.00 pm on December 21 (Sunday). However, the heritage wing of Taj will remain closed for some more time as it bore maximum damage during the hapless incident of terror.

According to Raymond Bickson, CEO and MD of Indian Hotels, “To reopen the Taj with such speed, but with no loss of attention to details, shows our resolve to commemorate all the innocent and brave people who lost their lives during the terror strikes.
