The ten-feet portrait of Anjorie Alagh used in 1920 has found a place of pride at her mom’s home.
“Vikram Bhatt gifted the painting to my mother as souvenir,” says Anjorie. The painting that gives an impression of a bygone era, Anjorie says, catches immediate attention of those visiting her mother’s home. “They ask if the woman in portrait is my grandmother. ‘She looks so much like Anjorie’ they say! If only they knew the truth,” Anjorie says. Well, looks like Anjorie’s best kept secret is now out!
