Operation For Stable Of Quake-Hit Areas Continues


QUETTA: The death toll in Balochistan earthquake has reached to 215 with hundreds of villagers injured, while relief and rescue operation is underway in the quake hit areas of the province, reported ARY OneWorld.

Many public and private sector organizations were busy in helping the earthquake victims in the most hit areas including District Ziarat, Pishin, Fort Abdullah and the outskirts of Quetta, where large number of houses collapsed.

An operation room headed by AIG Mujahid Awais, established to provide relief to the earthquake victims, was coordinating among various government departments for rescue activities.

Emergency had already been declared throughout the province, while the Army and Frontier Corps rescuers were also present in the quake hit areas for the relief operation.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) has sent two trucks filled with life-saving medicines for quake-affected areas of Ziarat and Pishin.
