MINGORA: Security forces continued operation against miscreants and militants in various areas of Swat district on Thursday too, reported ARY OneWorld.
Forces targeted militants’ suspected hideouts in Sarseeni and Matta tehsils with cannon fire.
Curfew has also been imposed in Brem Pul and Veni Pul on Wednesday. Sarseni area of Kibil tehsil was bearing strict curfew since last four days, turning the life miserable for the local residents.
On late night Wednesday, militants attacked a security forces’ camp in Kanju with heavy artillery but flee the scene on retaliation by forces.
Meanwhile, local militants will release those 58 abductees today who they kidnapped four days back from Mandaldag and Guwalere areas.
The militants will hand over the abductees to the tribal jirga that played a vital role in their release and hold talks with their kidnappers.
