Naghmi considers filing defamation suit against Chairman PCB
LAHORE: The Chief Operating Officer of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shafqat Naghmi has been accused of misusing his powers and stealing sensitive documents he said that he was contemplating to file a defamation suit against the new Chairman PCB Ejaz Butt in a couple of days.
Butt, in his first press conference as PCB Chairman on Monday, accused Naghmi of trying to steal sensitive documents along with other mismanagements but Naghmi denied all charges.
Former chairman PCB Dr. Nasim Ashraf appointed Naghmi COO of the board in 2006 but he confirmed asking the federal government to end his deputation and give him a fresh posting.
