Mumbai: The identification parade of the lone surviving terrorist of the Mumbai attacks, Ajmal Amir Kasab, was conducted at the city’s Arthur Road Jail on Saturday.

According to sources, two GRP personnel and several witnesses took part in the identification parade. All the witnesses reportedly identified Kasab as the terrorist they had seen on November 26.

Among the total 35 witnesses are policeman Arun Jadhav, who was in the police jeep targeted by the terrorists and SR Arasa, the owner of the Skoda car, which was hijacked by the attackers on Marine Drive.

Kasab and his associate Ismail Khan had fled in the hijacked car but were confronted by a police team at Girgaum Chowpatty. The encounter resulted in the killing of Khan while Kasab was caught alive.

“The other witnesses include the cops who saw him firing at CST station as also some of those who were injured there,’’ a police officer said.

Considering the gravity of the case, elaborate security arrangements were made at the Arthur Road Jail.
