PESHAWAR : At least four persons were killed while dozen others were injured in a suicide blast occurred at the occasion of the closing ceremony of Inter Provincial games, here on Tuesday. According to details suicide bomber aged between 20 to 22 years blew himself out side the Qyum stadium during the closing ceremony of inter provincial games, officials confirmed that at least four persons were killed while dozen others were injured including an athlete from Sindh.
Senior Minister Bashir Ahmed Balour left the ground before the blast, and his secretary confirmed that he is all well but his gaurds were injured in the blast.
After the blast security forces cordon off the area, while rescue works have been started, injured were taken to Lady Reading hospital, two police personals were also taken to hospital who said to be injured in the attack.
Officials said that suicide bomber targeted senior minister Bashir Ahmed Blour as blast occurred when senior minister was about to leave the gound, it should be important to mention here that balst happened out side the stadium.
Governor NWFP, Owais Ahmed Ghani already left the stadium befor the blast.
It is pertinent to mention here that at the occasion of closing ceremony many of the government minister were present.
