Sujatha was born in Sri Lanka December 10, 1952 and grew up in Kerala. She has acted in over 300 films including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi for over 4 decades. She began her film career at the age of 14 years through a Malayalam film ‘Tabaswini “and later K Balachander introduced her to Kollywood through’Aval Oru Kathai Thodar in 1974.
